ABOUT US

When The 2020 Project first started, our original mission was simply to register Asian Americans to vote. We’ve done an incredible amount since then—registered countless new voters, tabled and presented at multiple conferences, and hosted a variety of large scale digital events featuring prominent community leaders. In the past four years, we’ve learned so much more about what are the barriers to voting. Whether that was voter suppression on college campuses, creative outreach to key niches within the Asian American community, language access, and handling disinformation, we’ve known for a while that our work wouldn’t end with the 2020 election.

We’re empowering Asian American youth and young adults to become stronger advocates in voting and civic participation.

Moving forward, we’re continuing our work of empowering Asian American youth and young adults to become stronger advocates in voting and civic participation, but will evolve to address the changing needs of our community. Stay tuned for more updates on our new projects and staff openings that we’re excited to tell you about.
